Wait! Where are you going?!
Nowhere. Honestly.
This post is for our friends in Omaha.
While it’s true that I’ve just left Omaha due to a job opportunity for my wife, Big Wheel Brigade intends to continue being a company rooted in Omaha. We’ll be participating in Omaha events, hiring in Nebraska when possible, and working with Omaha companies.
Big Wheel Brigade doth protest too much? Perhaps. But this is important.
Living the last 8 years in Omaha gave me an opportunity to be part of a community in a way that I hadn’t before. I appreciate that, and it is important to me that we remain engaged in the community.
I really like you people.
As part of our social good endeavors, we will continue to support Omaha-based organizations and projects. In an upcoming post we’ll share one of the bigger projects we’re very excited to be supporting.
That said, there’s no getting around the fact that Big Wheel Brigade is now 50% in San Francisco. Hopefully this will mean good things all around: I’d like to enhance the work the Silicon Prairie crew is doing to shine a spotlight on the good things that are happening in Omaha, it’ll open up more direct avenues of business for Big Wheel Brigade, and you’ll have a place to crash when you visit the Bay Area.
In the meantime, I’ll catch you at Big Omaha this week.
